Lately, the plight of the elephants seems to be taking a turn for the worse. Sadly, one time "legal" sales seem to be driving a resurgence of the ivory market leading to signs of increased poaching. This is bad for the elephants, their culture and all who appreciate these magnificent animals. In Canada, there is a situation with an elephant named Lucy that deems the attention of all people concerned about the well being of these very intelligent social beings. With the announcement that Clayton Ruby was taking on Lucy's case for Zoocheck it seems Lucy's chances for a better life just became a tad bit brighter. I recommend all interested to help Lucy try to find some form of happiness.
