Chop Your Commission - Save Money and Sell Your Home

Chop Your Commission provides a free service for home sellers to connect with real estate agents willing to bid on their business. If you are looking to sell your home in Canada and are tired of always paying the same 5% commission for each sale, why not give it a try? Chop your commission shows visually on a map the location of all agent's who have bid to help you sell your property. With each bid an agent identifies what they are willing to do to sell your home on top of the commission rate they will charge. The website also allows you to privately communicate with a realtor.

Involved in customizing and setting up a Joomla 1.7 based Realtor bidding system for Chop Your Commission. This project involved creating a sophisticated custom Joomla component for managing both the Agent and Home Seller's use of the system including an integrate Google mapping system. We also integrated numerous other components including Chronoforms, Community Builder, OSE Membership.

Opening the Mind

"Our pronoun choices reflect and influence our attitudes towards others. Standard English pronoun use perpetuates disregard of non-human beings by characterizing them as genderless, insentient things."
