Bookclub-in-a-Box is a community of readers, coming together through their love of all things literary. Bookclub-in-a-Box services this community with guides, talks and discussions.
Involved in customizing and setting up a Joomla based website for a Toronto based Book Club company with assistance in graphical design, joomla template customizations, acajoom newsletter configuration, and custom PHP modifications to Virtuemart 1.1.4.
The configuration of Virtuemart required creating a fully featured HST tax plugin for Virtuemart 1.1.4 which supports the complicated HST tax rates across all of Canada including the varying exemptions for books and other items not found in any other plugin. The plugin also allows for setting the tax rate at the category level for ultimate flexibility.
We also programmed the following:

Customizations to the shipping module to allow for specific set rate shipping charges by province within Canada

Moneris payment gateway integration for Virtuemart 1.1.4

A much needed feature to expire product listings based on an expiry date. This makes event handling in Virtuemart possible with little administrative oversight required.
